Preston Front bottom tooth

Preston had his dentist visit two months ago and had a X-ray. The dentist told us that he will lose his front tooth by Christmas. He showed us the x-ray and it shows that there is a new adult front tooth coming out. At that time, we didn't see it on the surface. Now, it is very obvious the new tooth is there. And his front teeth probably will fall out soon. Good thing it doesn't hurt.

Texturing the restroom

Before the texturing After

After moving to a new house, we always want to put some color on our wall. Not until I went to Stacy Richard house and see her kitchen. It is exactly what I always wanted to do in my house. - texturing. I went to different paint shops before and looked at those technique painting skills and didn't really understand how they do it. Good thing, I have Stacy who is very kind and come over to show me how to do it. Of course, it is my first time to do and don't want to make a big mistake. I am starting with the small area which is the restroom in the hallway. I got the joint Compound from Benjamin Moore and she cane over one afternoon. I finished the texturing the same day. Man! It is a hard work. Don't know the result yet, will see. The next step is to get the paint - Get the antinque white paint, Then, the final step would be Glazing.
Anyway, see the 'Before' and 'After' pictures. Fred likes it and I think it is not bad after all. I think I can do a better job in my next room.

Copperhead Snake

I was mowing the lawn this afternoon while Bryden was taking a nap. When I was edging the side in the back yard. I noticed there was something moving, I thought it probably was a toad. There are alot of toad around the yard in Texas. But when I had a closer look, I found out it was a snake, I saw the head of it. I was not sure how big it was. He kept hissing and I could see his fork tongue. I was scared and not to do. Fred is at work and no one is around. I went in the house and grab the camera and the video cam. Then, I still struggled if I should kill it, if I do, how do I kill a snake? Or what I am going to do with it. After using the garden tool, I saw the whole size of the snake, and it was a 6-10 inches young snake. Still don't know whether it is poisonous or not, so I left and thought that would come back to get it. After 20 minutes, I came back and it was gone.
So, when Fred came home, I showed him the picture. He said it was a copperhead snake. I went on the internet and found out it is venomous . I should have killed it. Well.........

Chinese Costumes

Look at those cute little chinese!!!!! Preston saw Kayley wearing her chinese dress to church this morning and when we got home from church, he went to the closet and found his chinese costume that aunt gave him two years ago. I just hang it in his closet and no intention ever to take it out for him to wear. But he got it and put it on. It looks very cute on him and I am surprised he knows where the pieces go. They are having fun and doing the kung-fu dances. It makes me feel homesick.

Haa..... Bryden is READing

Bryden loves reading (actually flipping the pages :). He can sit in the couch for a quite some time and just flip every single page of the book. Look at his facial expression when he saw the tiger in the book. He is so adorable.

First Eureka for Quentin

Eureka! is a hands-on science enrichment program. I took Kayley and Bryden with me to Quentin's first Eureka. He was so happy to see us when he walked in the room. He couldn't help keeping waving his hands to us. Today, he is learning observation skills by using a hand lens 'magnify glass' to explore all the objects while searching for the items on the scavenger hunt sheet. It is fun to see Quentin enjoying his first Eureka. He picks all different objects and find the match. Look at how he was so focused on finding the match. Kayley also wanted to do that and his brother was very kind and share his magnify glass with her.

My hiding Places

Bryden loves to find a place around the house and just hide there. Today, he finds a new his hiding place, which is the cabinet below the countertop in the kitchen. He is very funny that he would find a place and then just sit there quietly. When he knows you find, he would have a big smile on his face.
